A well presented 1965 Jaguar Mk 2 3.8-Litre Manual Overdrive in Opalescent Silver Blue with chrome wire wheels is offered at £50,000 – £60,000. Its first owner, a Mr Brian Keane, had the car until 1995, the second owner till 2014, and the final owner until now. Fully retrimmed with electric windows and seats, head rests and a 5-speed gearbox conversion. The car has previously been used in many club rallies and was also a contender in the 2018 Great Wall of China Rally. The subject of an earlier restoration and remains in very good condition.

Elegant and graceful, this 1965 Bentley S3 Standard Steel Saloon has great presence and is one of just 1,286 built. The S3 featured 7% more power than its predecessor, improved headlamps, more rear leg room and individual front seats. For those who appreciate American power and styling this ‘black beauty’ 1946 Pontiac Streamliner 2-Door Coupe is a serious contender. The Harley Earl-penned Streamliners were notable for their pronounced ‘fastback’ styling and massive multi-blade chrome grille and wraparound bumpers. Powered by a hefty 249ci (3.9-litre) straight-8 driving through a 3-speed manual gearbox it was no slouch in its heyday.

CCA understands that the car was subject to a major restoration around 2010 which included a repaint, replacement overhauled engine and transmission, new exhaust system, dashboard and extensive re-chroming. Estimated at £15,000 – £18,000, it was restored by Rick Shoesmith who received a Gold Award from the Antique Automobile Club of America for the quality of the restoration.

If you are a believer that size matters and bigger is better, this 1949 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon (Woodie) will tick a lot of boxes. In 1949, Buick’s new, family-sized Roadmaster Woodie undoubtedly made a bit of a statement. When it comes to ‘Woodies’, the Roadmaster was the absolute pinnacle of desirability.

A real head-turning land yacht with one-year only styling for 1949, it is expected to sell for between £30,000 and £40,000. Some 653 were produced and it’s believed only 21 were exported. Fitted with the 150bhp Fireball Dynaflash straight-eight coupled to Dynaflow automatic transmission.

The car stayed with its first owner, Offield L Herbert in Los Angeles, for an incredible 28 years and was subsequently used as VIP transport at a ‘Dude’ ranch in Arizona. It has been the subject of roughly $17,000 spent during 2009/10.

The CCA summer sale includes a series of charming children’s pedal and petrol cars as part of the collection. Sold new via Harrods and a few Land Rover Dealerships for £12,000, this petrol powered scaled down Range Rover Classic is beautifully appointed.

The little car boasts both forward and reverse gears, a 5bhp Briggs and Stratton engine driving the rear wheels. The cab has two-tone black leather and red piped interior with seat belts. There is a coil spring suspension and an electric starter motor. And if this was not enough it has a Kenwood car stereo, front and rear lights and horn!

Inspections of the collection are strongly encouraged as these cars have received little or no use over recent years, so an element of recommissioning is to be expected. Some of these cars do not start or run. Each car has a condition report which is viewable online and it should be noted that they are all sold as seen.

In person viewing is available at the venue on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th June between 10am – 5pm and the morning of the auction from 9am. Lots can also be viewed online where you can register to bid in person, on the phone, online or via a commission bid, visit www.classiccarauctions.co.uk.
