A special 100-car Drive It Day run to the Hagerty sponsored Bicester Heritage Scramble event, taking place on Sunday 24th April, will see our own TV Wheeler Dealer, Mike Brewer get behind the wheel.
Mike will participate in the Drive It Day event in a classic Porsche, meeting fellow drivers and guests for cars and coffee at Hagerty’s Northamptonshire Headquarters before heading to the sold-out April Scramble at Bicester Heritage.
Starting at Hagerty’s UK Headquarters near Towcester, just a few miles from Silverstone circuit, there will be an opportunity to enjoy 100 classic vehicles in a cars and coffee environment before drivers assemble to head towards the Hagerty-sponsored April Scramble at Bicester Heritage. Upon arrival, Hagerty will provide private on-site parking for the entire day.
While the April Scramble event is already sold-out, Hagerty, a sponsor of Bicester Heritage Scramble and Scramblers events, will guarantee entry to all Drive it Day run participants making this a unique opportunity for classic car enthusiasts who may have missed out on a ticket.
100 drive slots are available, providing each entrant with free tea and coffee, entry to the sold-out Bicester Heritage Sunday Scramble, and all-day Hagerty private parking. Drivers may also donate £10 to the NSPCC by purchasing a Drive it Day run plaque when registering.
Places are strictly limited to 100 cars, and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Those who reserve a place will receive an email to confirm their entry. To register for a space, drivers must complete this form.
Drive it Day is an annual event organised by the Federation of British Historical Vehicle Clubs which was first introduced in 2005. Drive It Day remembers the 1000 Mile Trial, originally organised by the Royal Automobile Club in 1900, which started in London and followed a route through the UK before heading back to the capital.
If you are looking for a Drive it Day activity, the British Motor Museum is offering owners who arrive in a classic car discounted Museum entry on Sunday 24th April. Reserved parking in front of the Museum will be available for those vehicles taking part in Drive It Day and visitors are welcome to view the vehicles outside or pay to enter the Museum and café.
Pre-booking is advised as it offers best value, participants can use the discount code ‘DRIVEITDAY’ to receive £2 off Museum entry or pay full price and get an annual pass at no additional cost. British Motor Museum Members, Premium Members and Annual Pass Holders enter for free.
